The Fool is the spirit in search of experience. He represents the childlike ability to tune into the inner workings of the world. He represents the divine nature of the wisdom. On his back are all the possessions he might need and in his hand there is a white rose, showing his appreciation of beauty and the fickleness. He is accompanied by a dog, which could be regarded as his animal desires or the call of the "real world". He is seemingly unconcerned that he is apparently about to step off, because he is walking to the brink of a precipice.
